In Isaiah 53:6 the prophet writes; "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all."
Like sheep, we still wander. And that is the reason we need a Messiah--a shepherd to seek and to save us. This season affords us many well-intended practices that, if we are not careful, can cause us to wander. Instead, this Christmas morning your pastoral staff wants to encourage each of us to consider using these elements of the season as opportunities to worship. As you watch may the gift of the very son of God compel us to stop wandering, and to start worshiping Him!
Special thanks to the following for allowing us to film on location:
Allen and Debbie Whiteside from Whiteside Evergreens
Dan and Danny Westlake from Westlake Club
And much appreciation to Terry Adams (@TABigguy02) for your time, expertise, patience, and creativity in helping us put our Christmas Service video to together. The hours you gave filming, editing, and laughing with us created more than just a video…but also created friendships. Thank you Terry!
Every detail of the Chrsitmas story is unexpected. We do not expect to find understanding in the unexpected, yet this is where we find Jesus and discover hope, peace, joy, and love.
Join us for a journey that leaves us expecting Christ.
