When we're proactive with God, He is proactive with us--and we see this in relationships. Matthew 7:12 says, "...do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the prophets." We can't follow this command by being inactive. Disciples ask not what they have to do. They ask, "What can I do?"
What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? Oftentimes, our culture expectations can bleed into our church culture and create an identity crisis for the followers of Jesus. This 13-week series explores what it means to be a disciple through the lens of the Sermon on the Mount. This is not a part-time, halfway commitment. To be a disciple of Jesus encompasses our whole life.
