During the time of Judges (between Joshua and King Saul), there was a familiar cycle: God blessed, the people rebelled, God sent oppression, the people cried out, God sent a deliver, God blessed. Gideon--another unlikely hero--was one of those deliverers. God called him to move, and he was willing to destroy the foreign idols even though he still had questions. Will YOU allow God to conduct?
Throughout this series, we have learned that God is inviting us to join Him on an epic adventure. In June, our focus was perspective: how we see our circumstances, others, ourselves, and our past. This month, we're going to look at how God's epic adventure invites active participation. We are called to move in step with God. Think of it this way: A conductor sets rhythm. The orchestra follows the conductor's lead, each playing their selected part. And the result is something beautiful. THAT is what God is calling us to be part of.
