Dwell

To be holy as God is holy is a call to heart purity that is best exemplified in how we love others--not in the checklists, the do's and don'ts, and the "dips." Allowing ourselves to dwell in Him leads to a stronger presence of God in our life that brings about genuine worship--a move of God that leads us to seek that which we may be lacking. Or as Rich Villodas puts it, to ask ourselves... "Do I worship God or do I worship the experience of God?"

From Series: "Dwell"

Our relationship with God can often be reflected in how we make a cup of tea. Some like to "dip" the tea bag in and out of the tea cup reflecting a spiritual life that is measured in experiences, preferences, and convenience. Others know that tea bags are meant to "dwell" in the water, allowed to steep fully. And just like a good cup of tea, the strongest presence of God is seen in the lives of those who dwell in Him.
