CloseIn the church calendar, this Sunday is known as Christ the King Sunday. It’s a day dedicated to acknowledging that we have no other king than Jesus. In the moments before Jesus is crucified, He has an interaction with Pilate centered on whether or not Jesus is a king. Jesus reveals that he is, in fact, king, but his kingdom is like no other kingdom on earth. Rather than being a king based on power and domination, his kingship revolves around his suffering.
