Bold Prayers

What you pray for reflects what you believe about God. Selfish prayers reflect the belief that God exists for us. Small prayers reflect our lack of faith in a big God. And if we rarely pray, it's most likely because we don't believe God answers prayer.  As God is stitching us together, it's important to remember that our kingdom impact is directly linked to how many and how often we pray together. So let us not hesitate to pray big prayers, together, with both expectation and power. And may we grow in a faith that understands when the answer reflects His will over ours.

From Series: "Stitches"

A "stitch" is both a thing and an action. We are stitched together by what we experience, what we are given, by who we are, and by whose we are. As a church, we are stitched together by our beliefs, and by what inspires us. But ultimately, as the Holy Spirit works in and out of us, holiness shows through our lives as we pursue God's vision and purpose. He is the thread--the stitch (noun) and the one who does the stitching (verb)--pulling together, holding together, and uniting.
