Regifted, pt. 2 - Do Justice

Regifted

There is a difference between retributive justice and restorative justice. Restorative justice seeks fairness. Jesus practiced this type of justice by rejecting the religious system and bringing equity and fairness to the life of those on the margin. He dines with tax-collectors and sinners, and calls out the Pharisees because of their hypocrisy and legalistic hearts. Micah says to do--produce--justice. Thus, the question of the day is, "Is my life producing restorative justice?" Doing nothing produces nothing.

From Series: "Regifted"

Though the prophet Micah, God clearly expresses his desire for his people--"to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." Jesus is the gift of God that demonstrates the love of God. As we walk like Jesus did, (doing justice, loving kindness, and walking humbly with our God) we regift the love of God.
