ORDINARY PEOPLE
FOLLOWING JESUS

Welcome to Marysville Nazarene!

We believe God calls ordinary people to follow Him. We’re your neighbors, your classmates, your childhood friends, and your co-workers. But following Jesus isn’t ordinary–it’s extraordinary!

It’s about doing life together. We need each other!

Together we learn to serve, pray, and worship. To us, ordinary people following Jesus means loving and giving, going and sharing. It’s placing our “everyday, ordinary life” before God as an offering while pressing on to follow Him.

We find ourselves in the midst of construction season, when orange cones and delays become a daily part of our lives. Without directions--or the right signs to help us through life’s detours--we can easily get lost, end up on roads that lead us away from our destination.

When we are off course spiritually, Jesus provides simple, clear directions that help us navigate life’s potholes, find healing from our hurts, and the power to overcome harmful habits.

Using Jesus’ teaching from his first recorded “sermon,” Road to Recovery walks us through the Beatitudes and gives us eight turn-by-turn directions to get us back on the right road for our faith journey.

Our weekly worship services go live Sunday mornings at 9:00am. For a more interactive experience, we recommend visiting our Facebook page to view the livestream, where viewers are welcome to exchange hellos and post comments throughout.

Podcast (audio-only) and video recordings of Sunday morning worship will be listed below as soon as they’re available. To view archived recordings of past services, please visit our media page.

From Waiting to Relying

Some of Jesus' last words to the disciples were, "Go and make disciples of all nations, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit...but, first, wait."  He wanted them to wait to receive the gift and power of the Holy Spirit who, in turn, gave them the ability and boldness to make those disciples in ways they never could have imagined. Just as the fire of the Holy Spirit fell on the disciples, that gift is meant for us, too, if we have surrendered all of ourselves to His will and way.  Are you willing to allow that fire to forge the relationship with the Spirit that transforms your story into His story?
